Greetings to all our friends and race fans!!!

We had a fantastic World Finals!!! The weather was the best ever and the track was great.
On October 20, at 12:05 pm we qualified for the record with the following run
Run # 1
1/4 Entry 194.119 mph
Mile 1 199.419
Mile 2 208.956
Mile 3 216.342

This run exceeded our current record of 215.028mph

Run # 2 at 4:47pm
1/4 entry 194.307 mph
Mile 1 199.999
Mile 2 210.674
Mile 3 217.657

A NEW LAND SPEED RECORD!!!!! 216.999 MPH.

After a little celebration in the pits we started to work on the car to get it ready for a run in the fuel class. We installed the NOS bottle and did the routine maintenance and the car was ready to go. The morning of the 21st was looking good, however the track was starting to go away because of all the high horsepower cars, but the weather was perfect. The run started off great but as soon as the NOS was turned on we had a solenoid fail on the fuel side of the NOS system and burned a hole in the # 1 piston, the run was aborted at the 1/4 entry point. That was it for the '99 racing season. More updates to follow soon on the winter improvements for the Y2K race season

Fast Wishes,

Terry and Don
